Welcome to the Next Step in Life

Wow. 2007 is gone. Over. Kaput. And I can hardly believe it. Oh, 2007, where did you go? Sure, I was busy - working 60 hours a week every week will do that to a person, you know, but I feel like I missed something. Oh, wait. That's that 60 hours a week thing again.

I have to say there were a few good things about 2007: a new car, further renovations on the house were completed and that second year of marriage? Much easier - even if there was the dropping out of law school, the never-ending campaign job, the dropping out of graduate school and the job search (that's still going on.) Maybe it's my age, but I seem to be taking stressful things much more in stride. Perhaps it's just acceptance that life doesn't always go as planned and really it's not that bad. Everyone I love is healthy and close to me; I have a roof over my head; I have a good job (or two); and I have a lot to look forward to in 2008.

What, you ask? Oh, wait. Did I forget to tell you? 2008 is going to be one wild ride because SURPRISE! We're gonna have a baby!
